No, this is not my New Year’s resolution. Given my lack of exercise and not paying attention to what I ate during whole of last year, I decided that I will start with giving up sugar in my chai or coffee. Its been a week and so far I have actually begun to enjoy the taste of my sugarless morning and evening cuppa tea!
Now, if only I can get back to running…

Right on for your decision to quit eating sugar. The biggest contributor to obesity, diabetes and a weakened immune system is our excessive sugar and high fructose syrup intake. You’ll find it in almost anything.
As far as getting back to running…if you were a runner before you know all it takes is being consistent and running everyday. Even if its just a little bit it’s still better than nothing.
I had a rough year last year myself. I didn’t run as much as I could have or should have and it shows. After the first of the year I renewed my commitment to myself to get back where I was at this time last year. Finally after a few weeks of being diligent I’m starting to see results. So like the Nike ad says: “Just Do It”.
Best of luck to you in the coming year,
Will
@Will – Thanks for visiting, for your comment and the motivation. Yes, I have run marathons before but haven’t run since completing the 2010 NYC marathon. Will start running again.
